become a Member
We warmly welcome anyone interested in Building Peaceful Communities to join CMCS. As well as contributing to sustaining CMCS, membership includes access to:
educational opportunities through member meetings, professional development workshops, and seminars; and.
CMCS social events.
For those wanting to take mediation training, this is a great way to learn more about mediation and connect with practicing mediators. Society membership is only $50/year.
Volunteer
Interested in actively shaping CMCS’s future? CMCS welcomes anyone interested in volunteering to help us further our vision and mission. We have openings in many areas such as volunteer coordination, fundraising, digital content creation, and graphic design. If you have these or other skills that you would like to share, let us know by sending us an email.
Volunteers do not have to be CMCS members, but we welcome anyone to become a member for a nominal fee of $50/year.
join a Roster
We welcome those with a minimum level of formal mediation education, and an interest in managing conflict and resolving disputes, to volunteer on one or more of our rosters. Roster members help to deliver our complementary mediation services. For insurance purposes, all roster members must have an active CMCS Membership. Roster member benefits include:
joining our mediation, conflict assistance meeting, community engagement and workshop volunteer rosters;
training and networking opportunities through role play sessions, member meetings, professional development workshops, and seminars;
gaining experience in resolving disputes (great for students and people new to the field!), facilitating multi-party mediations, and delivering conflict resolution workshops, and conflict reduction skill development; and
receiving and/or providing peer feedback, as well as mentorship opportunities for new mediators.
Start your journey today by purchasing your $50 annual CMCS membership.
