Land Recognition

In the spirit of reconciliation, all CMCS members, contractors, and volunteers acknowledge and honour Moh’kins’tsis (Calgary), and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani), the Stoney Nakoda (Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley), and the Tsuut’ina First Nation.

We also acknowledge this territory is home to the Metis Nation of Alberta (Region 3) and that all people—indigenous and non—who live, work, and play on this land, honour and celebrate it.
